The Gospel of Luke 17:20–25
The Pharisees asked Jesus when the Kingdom of God would come. He answered, “The Kingdom of God is not something that can be observed; no one will say, ‘Look here!’ or ‘Look there!’ For the Kingdom of God is within you.”
He also said to his disciples, “Days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it. People will say to you, ‘Look there!’ or ‘Look here!’ Do not go, do not follow them. For just as lightning flashes from one part of the sky to the other, so will the Son of Man be on that day. But first, he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.”
